The Mon Unity Party, a Mon political party, declared a 5-point plan to be carried out ahead on March 21.
Being a political part, they will take measures to develop a subtle change within the legal framework, to discuss and figure out the political issues and to carry out the interests of Mon in any political shift, according to the announcement.
The party said it will work with like-minded parties as well as the other democracy parties to develop a constitution in line with the federal democracy system that the ethnics want.
The Mon Unity Party said in the statement that it will continue to work to develop an election system that matches ethnic rights and to draft a constitution in line with the future Federal State.
Mon Unity Party won 12 parlimentary seats in the last 2020 election.
After the military coup, as the party collaborted with the coup junta, nearly 100 members of the party resigned including the top ones.
