Mawlamyine, March (19)
The Burmese People’s Liberation Army (BPLA) announced on March 18 that three comrades and a volunteer doctor were arrested near Thekkel Kyin village, in Belin Township, Mon State.
Among the arrested were Comrade Su Chit, a member of the policy group, Comrade Han Phyo Aung, Comrade Thein Min San and a female volunteer doctor of the Burma People’s Liberation Army (BPLA).
The four were arrested by military council members on March 9 and the abduction took place near Thekkelkyin village, the BPLA said.
At present, all of them have been interrogated and the details of the situation have not yet been known for a week, according to the BPLA.
In Mon State, some members of the People’s Defense Forces were arrested in recent months, and their whereabouts are still unknown.
