The military soldiers who join People’s Embrace with full weapons will be awarded Ks 30 lakhs together with the special security guarantee, according to Taninthayi’s Regional Command.
They called on the military soldiers not to continue serving under the military council, who kills the people, to take the people’s side, and to fight the military dictators till the end.
The spokesperson said that they did not want to fight the military personnel while fighting the military dictatorship and called on them to stand by the people.
“We want to appeal to military soldiers, in particular. We are fighting against the system not the soldiers. The military personnel are also the people. We want all our people to be involved in overthrowing dictatorships and moving towards federal democracy. We will remove organizations that are obstructing our path. The main obstacle is the junta soldiers,” a spokesman told Than Lwin Times.
In Tanintharyi Region, there have been frequent clashes between the military council and the local People’s Defense Force since the military coup, with casualties on both sides.
Due to these clashes, more than (5,000) local people in Dawei, Palaw, Yebyu and Thayet Chaung townships are fleeing to safety and nearby forests.
