The junta military is reinforcing hundreds of troops in the KNU-controlled area of Brigade 5 in Hpapun District, where military forces were hit the hardest.
On the morning of March 14, along the Hpa-an – Shwegun– Myaing Gyi Ngu Road, about 13 military council vehicles reinforced through Myaing Gyi Ngu to KNU’s Brigade 5 in Hpapun District.
In addition to aerial reconnaissance by helicopters, more airstrikes were carried out, KNU’s Brigade 5 issued.
Currently, the residents in Ma Htaw Village Tract, Hpapun District fled because of heavy artillery fire by the military council.
In Hpapun district, civilian casualties have been reported every month due to frequent artillery fire by the military council and the Border Guard Forces (BGF).
There were many military causalities in the fighting between the KNLA’s Brigade 5 and the Military Council in DweloTownship, Hpapun District on March 11. Many types of weapons were confiscated and about 20 junta soldiers captured alive, reported KNU.
