The court and the law office No. (2) Quarter, Palaw Township, Taninthari Region, were rocked by bomb blasts on the morning of March 26, the locals said.
The two offices were blown up by the Palaw People Defense Force (PPDF). The office building and doors were damaged by the attack but no one was injured as it was a public holiday.
The attack was a warning to the staff of the military council, a member of Palaw PDF told Than Lwin Times.
The junta tightened security in Palaw after the explosions; the roads near the offices were blocked and searched, the locals said.
On March 13, two staff were injured in an attack by the local People Defense Forces on the General Administration Department in Palaw Township.
The People’s Defense Force (PPDF) in Palaw Township called on the village administrators and Pyu Saw Htee group members in Palaw Township to lay down their weapons and stop helping the military council. If not, they will be taken military action, the PPDF warned.
