Former Mon State Prime Minister Dr Aye Zan has been indicted for three counts, including electoral abuse of power, according to the people close to the military council.
Three cases have been filed against Prime Minister Dr Aye Zan for allegedly abusing his power in the election by the military council under section 130 (a) of the Penal Code and section 171 (f).
He was indicted at Mawlamyine Township Court on March 22.
Prime Minister Dr Aye Zan has pleaded not guilty to election-related allegations by the military council.
Prime Minister Dr Aye Zan is currently facing 12 charges, including nine counts of corruption.
On December 17 last year, arrested Mon Prime Minister Dr Aye Zan was sentenced to two years in prison with hard labor under Section 505 (b) on charges of inciting staff to join the CDM movement.
